First you must purchase our Premium Membership or Autotrading Membership.

What if I only what certain trades autotraded in my portfolio?

If you would only like certain types of trades to be executed in your portfolio then you must tell your autotrading provider.

Example: Sam wants only The Oxen Group option trades to be autotraded.  Then he would contact his autotrading provider (eOption.com) and say that he only wants options trade?

How can I autotrade both equity and option alerts?

Most autotrade providers require the client to have to brokerage accounts to autotrading two different strategies.  If you would like to auotrade both equities and options, then contact your provider and see if two accounts are necessary.  Regardless of whether the accounts are combined or separate please keep in mind that we recommend a smaller allocation of capital to options than equities.

Is the membership price the same if I only want to follow select trades?

Yes, we send your all our trades via e-mail in both the Premium and Autotrading memberships it’s up to you if you wish to only follow a certain type of strategy.

Who decides how much money to allocate per trade?

You!  Simply tell your autotrading provider how much you would like to allocate per equity and option trade we have say in the dollar increments you decide to invest.

Trading:

What is the minimum amount of capital required to shadow our strategies?

If you have a small portfolio then we first recommend you to use a low cost broker like Interactive Brokers or eOption.com. Assuming a low lost broker $2,000 per equity trade and $200 per option trade is a good starting point.

We have averaged at least 1.5% gain per trade since 2008. We recommend that you trade with enough capital to equal a gain after trading costs.

How long do you hold trades?

Equities: We hold positions in Stocks/ETF’s for 1-4 days.

Options: long call/put options we hold for 1-4 days

Options: short call/put options we hold for 1-30 days

What type of Option Strategies do you use?

Long Call/Put

Short Call/Put

Credit/Debt Spreads

What type of Strategies do you use?

We combine both fundamental and technical analysis to come to find new intra-day trade opportunities. There is no set system, or algorithm that we use to find trades. The strategy is simply based on our market intuition thinking ahead of the curve.

When a new trade alert is issued, how much time do I have before the equity/option moves in price?

This question cannot be answered. Sometimes by the time the alert has been received by our subscribers the equity/option has moved out of their favor, some in their favor. We usually give an entry range so that our members never miss a trade.

How Many Equity/Option Trades do you have?

Equity Trades: Typically 20-32/month

Option Trades: Typically 15-20/month

Max Equity Trades we have open: 4

Max Option Portfolio Trades we have open: 8

Are there any provisions I need to take into account if I'm following both the equity and option portfolios?

By following our two portfolios simultaneously, one may expose themselves to trading +4 trades in a 5 day period.  This information is pertinent to subscribers that have a margin account because if your trading +4 day trades with us within a 5 day period then you may be labeled a "Pattern Day Trader."  If your labeled a pattern day trader then the SEC requires that you have a minimum capital amount of $25,000 in your account.

Results:

How are The Oxen Group results page calculated?

We have been showing our results page since 2009, however understanding the document may be confusing.

Our results page is calculated by splitting the capital of a portfolio into 4 equally weighted subaccounts.  Example, if a portfolio has $10,000 and we have a maximum of 4 equity trades open at any given time then we start the year assigning $2,500 per position.  We start the year with our first trade.  If the trade makes 2% then the subaccount holding $2,500 increases to $2,550.  This process continues throughout with our winners and losers.

Do you ever trade your own recommendations?

Rarely, when we do, we disclose that information in our trade alert.  We prefer not to personally trade our alerts as an emotion attachment can develop to the position and affect the objectivity of the trade.
