The Oxen Group January Results: Accuracy at 75%, Buy Pick Portfolio Increases 3%, Short Sale Portfolio Increases 2%

The new year brought a month to forget as we had a great month of accurate picking coupled with several major losses that has completely changed our approach to investing. A series of just a few Overnight Trades removed great gains that we had throughout the month. Even with the losses, we were still able to increase on the month 3% in our Buy Pick Portfolio and 2% in our Short Sale Portfolio.

 

The portfolio started the year with $24,000 and finished January with just over $24,600 on 36 trades with 27 of them correct. Our Short Sale Portfolio increased 2% on 8 trades with 6 correct. 



January was definitely an anomaly for us, and we are hoping for better results in February. With 75% accuracy, it is only a matter of time till these results average out with higher results.

The way that The Oxen Group Buy Portfolio works is that we started with $24000 at the beginning of the month. This amount is divided between six mini-accounts that started with $4,000 each. These mini-accounts A-F are rotated through each other so that we can account for multiple positions being open at one time. The portfolio shows entry, exit, amount gained/lost, changes in account and total money, and the date of action. 

These results are historically accurate. If you come across any issues or questions, we pride ourselves on honesty. We would love to hear about any problems. It could be a mathematical error. If we missed anything tell us, we want to get the truth across as much as possible.
