AAPL 50k Portfolio/Wednesday Jan. 4, 2012

This is my first day of posting on behalf of the relatively new AAPL 50k Portfolio.   Today we were able to scalp the January 6  410 weeklies for $500 and some February 410 calls for $400 to add to the portfolio value.  We end the day with our 10 July 390/415 bull call spreads and the rest in cash.  Our portfolio, which we started on December 6, 2011, closes the day at $69,650 and change.   Someone asked me today why I bought the calls; was I bullish?  I'm neither a bull nor a bear.   I'm mainly a swing trader, holding options for minutes to months, until they 'swing' to the profits I'm seeking, or until the trade shows me to have been in error, at which point I exit.   I use a myriad of option trading techniques, some of which seem counterintuitive at first.  I'll try to explain my reasoning for each trade as it is made, or shortly thereafter.  Feel free to comment about anything regarding option trading.  We can learn from each other as we all seek to master the science, and art, of option trading.
